English Translation

Hajjaj narrated to us, Sharik narrated to us, from Simak, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما), from the Prophet ﷺ, that he commanded 'Ali (رضي الله عنه) to prepare water for him for ghusl. Then the Prophet ﷺ gave him a garment and said: 'Shield me from the people.' So 'Ali shielded him, and the Prophet ﷺ performed ghusl, then poured the remaining water over his head.
