حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمَّا قَدِمَ مَكَّةَ أَبَى أَنْ يَدْخُلَ الْبَيْتَ وَفِيهِ الْآلِهَةُ فَأَمَرَ بِهَا فَأُخْرِجَتْ فَأَخْرَجَ صُورَةَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِ
سْمَاعِيلَ عَلَيْهِمَا السَّلَام فِي أَيْدِيهِمَا الْأَزْلَامُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَاتَلَهُمْ اللَّهُ أَمَا وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ عَلِمُوا مَا اقْتَسَمَا بِهَا قَطُّ قَالَ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ الْبَيْتَ فَكَبَّرَ فِي نَوَاحِي الْبَيْتِ وَخَرَجَ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ فِي الْبَيْتِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to Makkah [at the conquest], he refused to enter the Ka'bah while idols were still inside it. He ordered them to be removed, so they were brought out. Among them were images of Ibrahim and Isma'il (عليهما السلام) holding divination arrows. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'May Allah fight them! By Allah, they knew full well that these two never used them [for divination].' He then entered the Ka'bah and made takbir in its corners, then went out without praying inside it.
