حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَد

َّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُخَوَّلٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُسْلِمًا الْبَطِينَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ الم تَنْزِيلُ السَّجْدَةَ وَهَلْ أَتَى عَلَى الْإِنْسَانِ وَفِي الْجُمُعَةِ بِسُورَةِ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالْمُنَافِقِينَ

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Sa'id ibn Jubayr — that the Prophet ﷺ used to recite in the Fajr prayer: Alif Lam Mim — al-Sajdah [Surah 32] and Hal Ata 'ala al-Insan [Surah 76]; and in the Jumu'ah prayer: Surah al-Jumu'ah [62] and al-Munafiqun [63].
