حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَبَهْزٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شُع
ْبَةُ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ بَهْزٌ سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ الصَّعْبَ بْنَ جَثَّامَةَ أَهْدَى إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ بِقُدَيْدٍ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ عَجُزَ حِمَارٍ فَرَدَّهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْطُرُ دَمًا

English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far and Bahz narrated to us, they said: Shu'bah narrated to us, from al-Hakam, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr. Bahz said: I heard Sa'id ibn Jubayr from Ibn 'Abbas رضي الله عنهما that al-Sa'b ibn Jaththamah gifted a wild donkey (onager) to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was at al-Abwa' or Waddan. the Prophet ﷺ returned it to him. When the Prophet ﷺ saw the look on his face, he said: 'We only returned it to you because we are in a state of ihram.'
