حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْعَالِيَةِ الرَّيَاحِيَّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَمِّ نَبِيِّكُمْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَا يَنْبَغِي لِعَبْدٍ أَنْ يَقُولَ أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ يُونُس
َ بْنِ مَتَّى وَنَسَبَهُ إِلَى أَبِيهِ وَذَكَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ أُسْرِيَ بِهِ فَقَالَ مُوسَى آدَمُ طُوَالٌ كَأَنَّهُ مِنْ رِجَالِ شَنُوءَةَ وَقَالَ عِيسَى جَعْدٌ مَرْبُوعٌ وَذَكَرَ مَالِكًا خَازِنَ جَهَنَّمَ وَذَكَرَ الدَّجَّالَ

English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Qatadah who said: I heard Abu al-'Aliyah al-Riyahi who said: The cousin of your Prophet ﷺ, meaning Ibn 'Abbas رضي الله عنهما, narrated to us who said: It is not befitting for any servant to say: I am better than Yunus ibn Matta عليه السلام. He attributed this to his father, meaning the Prophet ﷺ.
