حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا الْبَرَاءُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْغَنَوِ
يُّ مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا نَضْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ عَلَى هَذَا الْمِنْبَرِ يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَعَوَّذُ دُبُرَ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ مِنْ أَرْبَعٍ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ عَذَابِ النَّارِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ الْفِتَنِ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَةِ الْأَعْوَرِ الْكَذَّابِ

English Translation
Yahya ibn Ishaq narrated to us, al-Bara' ibn 'Abdullah al-Ghanawi narrated to us, from their own people, he said: I heard Abu Nadrah narrating, he said: Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) was on this pulpit saying: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in his khutbah: 'O mankind, fear your Lord, Who created you from a single soul...' [al-Nisa' 4:1], and the verse from Al 'Imran: 'O you who have believed, fear Allah as He should be feared...' [3:102], and: 'Fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice...' [al-Ahzab 33:70-71].
