حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ خَثْعَمَ قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ فَرِيض
َةَ اللَّهِ فِي الْحَجِّ أَدْرَكَتْ أَبَاهَا شَيْخًا كَبِيرًا لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَثْبُتَ عَلَى الرَّحْلِ أَفَأَحُجُّ عَنْهُ قَالَ نَعَمْ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Sulayman ibn Yasar — that a woman from the tribe of Khath'am said: 'O Messenger of Allah, Allah's obligation of Hajj has reached my father, who is an old man unable to remain seated on a mount. May I perform it on his behalf?' He said: 'Yes.'
