English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Sukayn ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz, from his father — that the Prophet ﷺ saw al-Fadl ibn 'Abbas glancing at a woman on the evening of 'Arafah. the Prophet ﷺ [shielded] the young man's eye with his hand and said: 'This is a day — whoever guards his sight and tongue on it will be forgiven.'
