English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Ikrimah — from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: 'Whoever makes an image will be compelled on the Day of Resurrection to breathe a soul into it — and he will be punished, for he will never be able to breathe [a soul] into it. And whoever falsely claims a dream he did not see will be compelled on the Day of Resurrection to tie together two barley grains — or: 'between two barley grains' — and he will be punished, for he will never be able to do so. And whoever eavesdrops on the conversation of people who dislike [being overheard] — molten lead [al-anuk] will be poured into his ears on the Day of Resurrection.' Isma'il said: 'meaning lead [al-rasas].'
