حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ حَدَّثَنَا الْجَعْدُ صَاحِبُ الْحِلَى أَبُو عُثْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو رَجَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَ
الَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيمَا يَرْوِي عَنْ رَبِّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ كَتَبَ الْحَسَنَاتِ وَالسَّيِّئَاتِ ثُمَّ بَيَّنَ ذَلِكَ فَمَنْ هَمَّ بِحَسَنَةٍ فَلَمْ يَعْمَلْهَا كَتَبَهَا اللَّهُ لَهُ عِنْدَهُ حَسَنَةً كَامِلَةً فَإِنْ عَمِلَهَا كُتِبَتْ لَهُ عَشْرَ حَسَنَاتٍ إِلَى سَبْعِ مِائَةِ ضِعْفٍ إِلَى أَضْعَافٍ كَثِيرَةٍ وَإِنْ هُوَ هَمَّ بِسَيِّئَةٍ فَلَمْ يَعْمَلْهَا كَتَبَهَا اللَّهُ لَهُ عِنْدَهُ حَسَنَةً كَامِلَةً فَإِنْ عَمِلَهَا كُتِبَتْ لَهُ سَيِّئَةً وَاحِدَةً

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Abu Raja' — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, in what he narrates from his Lord (عز وجل): 'Allah (عز وجل) has recorded good deeds and bad deeds — then He has clarified them. Whoever intends to do a good deed but does not do it — Allah records it for him as one complete good deed. If he does it, it is recorded for him as ten good deeds, up to seven hundred times, up to many times over. If he intends a bad deed but does not do it — Allah records it for him as one complete good deed. If he does it, it is recorded as a single bad deed.'
