حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ عُبَيْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ بِكِتَابِهِ إِلَى ك
ِسْرَى مَعَ رَجُلٍ وَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَدْفَعَهُ إِلَى عَظِيمِ الْبَحْرَيْنِ فَدَفَعَهُ عَظِيمُ الْبَحْرَيْنِ إِلَى كِسْرَى فَلَمَّا قَرَأَهُ خَرَقَهُ قَالَ فَحَسِبْتُ أَنَّ ابْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ قَالَ فَدَعَا عَلَيْهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُمَزَّقُوا كُلَّ مُمَزَّقٍ

English Translation
Musa narrated to us, Ibrahim ibn Sa'd narrated to us, from Salih ibn Kaysan, from Ibn Shihab, that 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Abdullah informed him that Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) informed him that the Prophet ﷺ sent Mu'adh to Yemen and said: 'You are going to a people from the People of the Book. Let the first thing you call them to be the worship of Allah عز وجل. When they recognize Allah, inform them that Allah has made obligatory upon them five prayers each day and night. When they pray, inform them that Allah has made obligatory upon them charity (zakah) taken from their wealthy and given to their poor. When they obey, take from them — and avoid the finest of people's wealth.'
