Hadith #75

English Translation
'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, he said: Ma'mar informed us, from al-Zuhri, from 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Abdullah ibn 'Utbah, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما), from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ who said: 'Do not go out to meet the riders (to buy their goods before they reach the market). And do not let a city-dweller sell on behalf of a Bedouin.' A man said: 'What does it mean that a city-dweller should not sell on behalf of a Bedouin?' He said: 'He should not act as a broker for him.' — This protects market fairness.
