حْيَى عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْمُكَاتِبِ يُقْتَلُ يُودَى لِمَا أَدَّى مِنْ مُكَاتَبَتِهِ دِيَةَ الْحُرِّ وَمَا بَقِيَ دِيَةَ الْعَبْدِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Yahya, from 'Ikrimah — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ ruled regarding the mukatab [slave contracted for his freedom] who is killed: blood-money [diya] is paid proportional to what he had paid of his contract at the rate of a free person, and for the remainder at the rate of a slave.
