حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ وَعَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا
سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمَعْنَى عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْبَسُوا مِنْ ثِيَابِكُمْ الْبَيَاضَ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ خَيْرِ ثِيَابِكُمْ وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ وَإِنَّ خَيْرَ أَكْحَالِكُمُ الْإِثْمِدُ إِنَّهُ يُنْبِتُ الشَّعْرَ وَيَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Sa'id ibn Jubayr — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Wear white from your garments — for it is among the best of your garments. And shroud your dead in it. And the best of your kohl is ithmid [antimony] — it promotes hair growth and sharpens the eyesight.'
