English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via Waki', from Isra'il, from Abi Ishaq, from Abi 'Ubayda — that 'Abdullah said: 'the Prophet ﷺ went out for his private need and said: Find me three stones. I brought him two stones and a piece of dung. He took the two stones, threw the piece of dung away, and said: It is filth [riks].'
