حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِ
يدَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فِي قَوْلِهِ مَا كَذَبَ الْفُؤَادُ مَا رَأَى قَالَ رَأَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جِبْرِيلَ فِي حُلَّةٍ مِنْ رَفْرَفٍ قَدْ مَلَأَ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via Yahya ibn Adam, from Isra'il, from Abi Ishaq, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid — that 'Abdullah [commented on] the verse: 'The heart did not lie about what it saw' [53:11], saying: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw Jibril in a garment of fine green silk [rafraf] that filled [the space] between the heaven and the earth.'
