حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِ
نِّي فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ وَإِنِّي سَأُنَازَعُ رِجَالًا فَأُغْلَبُ عَلَيْهِمْ فَأَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ أَصْحَابِي فَيُقَالُ لَا تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ

English Translation
Aswad ibn 'Amir narrated to us, Abu Bakr informed us, from 'Asim, from Abu Wa'il, from 'Abdullah (ibn Mas'ud) رضي الله عنه who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'I will be your predecessor at the Hawd (Pond). And some men will be raised before me until I see them, then they will be taken away. I will say: O Lord, my Companions! And it will be said: You do not know what they innovated after you.'
