حَدَّثَنَا طَلْقُ بْنُ غَنَّامِ بْنِ طَلْقٍ حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي شَيْخٌ مِنْ بَنِي أَسَدٍ إِمَّا قَالَ شَقِيقٌ وَإِمَّا قَالَ زِ
رٌّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ شَهِدْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدْعُو لِهَذَا الْحَيِّ مِنْ النَّخَعِ أَوْ قَالَ يُثْنِي عَلَيْهِمْ حَتَّى تَمَنَّيْتُ أَنِّي رَجُلٌ مِنْهُمْ

English Translation
Talq ibn Ghannam ibn Talq narrated to us, Zakariyya ibn 'Abdullah ibn Yazid narrated to us, from his father who said: A shaykh from Banu Asad narrated to me, either Shaqiq or Zirr, from Ibn Mas'ud رضي الله عنه who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'You will find the best of people those who were most averse to this matter (leadership) before they enter it. And the worst of people are the two-faced who come to these with one face and to those with another face.'
