ُمَيْرِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَرَأْتُ مِنْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَبْعِينَ سُورَةً وَإِنَّ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ لَهُ ذُؤَابَةٌ فِي الْكُتَّابِ

English Translation

Waki' narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Abu Ishaq, from Khumayr ibn Malik, from 'Abdullah (ibn Mas'ud) رضي الله عنه who said: 'I learned seventy surahs directly from the mouth of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, while Zayd ibn Thabit was still a boy playing with the other children.'
