Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ
عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَإِنِّي فَرَطُكُمْ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ وَإِنِّي سَأُنَازَعُ رِجَالًا فَأُغْلَبُ عَلَيْهِمْ فَأَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ أَصْحَابِي فَيَقُولُ إِنَّكَ لَا تَدْرِي مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ

English Translation
Aswad ibn 'Amir narrated to us, Abu Bakr informed us, from 'Asim, from Abu Wa'il, from 'Abdullah (ibn Mas'ud) رضي الله عنه who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'And indeed I will be your predecessor at the Hawd, and I will be contested for by men, meaning they will be pulled away from me. I will say: O Lord, my Companions! And it will be said: Indeed, you do not know what they did after you.'
