English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Ibn Abi 'Adiyy, from Humayd, from Bakr — that Ibn 'Abbas said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the mosque while riding his camel, with Usamah ibn Zayd riding behind him. He asked for a drink and we gave him nabidh [a lightly fermented date drink]. He drank, then passed what remained to Usamah ibn Zayd and said: You have done well and acted properly — continue doing thus. And we have no desire to change that.'
