حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّح
ْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ وَالْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَنَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُكَبِّرُ فِي كُلِّ رَفْعٍ وَوَضْعٍ وَقِيَامٍ وَقُعُودٍ وَيُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ جَانِبُ خَدِّهِ وَرَأَيْتُ أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ يَفْعَلَانِ ذَلِكَ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Sulayman ibn Dawud, from Zuhayr, from Abi Ishaq, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Aswad, from 'Alqama and al-Aswad — that 'Abdullah said: 'I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say the takbir at every rising and lowering, standing and sitting, and give the salam to his right and to his left: Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah; peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah — until the whiteness of his cheek became visible. And I saw Abu Bakr and 'Umar doing the same.'
