لَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالُوا أَيُّنَا لَمْ يَظْلِمْ نَفْسَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْسَ كَمَا تَظُنُّونَ إِنَّمَا هُوَ كَمَا قَالَ لُقْمَانُ لِابْنِهِ { يَا بُنَيَّ لَا تُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّ الشِّرْكَ لَظُلْمٌ عَظِيمٌ }

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Waki', from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim, from 'Alqama — that 'Abdullah said: 'When this verse was revealed: 'Those who believe and do not mix their faith with wrongdoing' [6:82] — that weighed heavily on the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and they said: Which of us has not wronged himself? the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'It is not as you think. It is rather as Luqman said to his son: 'O my son, do not associate [anything] with Allah — indeed shirk is a great wrong [zulm]' [31:13].''
