حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ سَأَل
ْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُلْتُ أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ قَالَ الصَّلَوَاتُ لِوَقْتِهَا وَبِرُّ الْوَالِدَيْنِ وَالْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu 'Ubayda — that he said: 'I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: Which deed is most virtuous? He said: Prayers at their [proper] time, honoring one's parents, and jihad in the way of Allah (عز وجل).'
