English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Muhammad ibn Ja'far, from Shu'ba, from Sulayman (al-A'mash), from 'Umara ibn 'Umayr — or Ibrahim — Shu'ba was uncertain — from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid — that he said: 'Let none of you give the devil a share of himself, thinking it incumbent upon him to turn [after prayer] to his right. I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ turn to his left most often.'
