حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ وَشُعْبَةُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَ

بْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ بِئْسَمَا لِأَحَدِكُمْ أَنْ يَقُولَ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ بَلْ هُوَ نُسِّيَ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Yahya ibn Sa'id, from Sufyan and Shu'ba, from Mansur, from Abi Wa'il — from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: 'How wrong it is for one of you to say: I forgot such-and-such a verse. Rather, he was caused to forget.'
