English Translation
Hushaym narrated to us, Yahya ibn Sa'id, 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Umar, Ibn 'Awn, and others informed us, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, that a man asked the Prophet ﷺ: What should a person in ihram wear? the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'He should not wear a shirt, nor a turban, nor trousers, nor a hooded cloak, nor leather socks — unless he cannot find sandals, in which case he may wear leather socks but cut them below the ankles. And he should not wear any garment that has been touched by saffron or wars (a yellow dye).'
