حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ ابْنُهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَظَهْرُهُ فِي الدَّارِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي لَا آمَنُ أَنْ يَكُونَ الْعَامَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ قِتَالٌ فَتُصَدَّ عَنْ الْبَيْتِ فَلَوْ أَقَمْتَ فَقَالَ قَدْ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَحَالَ كُفَّارُ قُرَيْشٍ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْب
َيْتِ فَإِنْ يُحَلْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ أَفْعَلْ كَمَا فَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ { لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ } قَالَ إِنِّي قَدْ أَوْجَبْتُ عُمْرَةً ثُمَّ سَارَ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ بِالْبَيْدَاءِ قَالَ مَا أَرَى أَمْرَهُمَا إِلَّا وَاحِدًا أُشْهِدُكُمْ أَنِّي قَدْ أَوْجَبْتُ مَعَ عُمْرَتِي حَجًّا ثُمَّ قَدِمَ فَطَافَ لَهُمَا طَوَافًا وَاحِدًا
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Isma'il narrated to us, Ayyub informed us, from Nafi', that Ibn 'Umar's son 'Abdullah ibn 'Abdullah came to him while his riding mount was in the courtyard. He said: 'I fear that this year there may be fighting between the people, preventing you from reaching the House (Ka'bah for Hajj). Why don't you stay behind?' He said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out and the disbelievers of Quraysh stood between him and the House. If I am prevented, I will do what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did. I have indeed a good example in the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. I bear you witness that I have made my 'Umrah obligatory upon myself.' Then he set out until he reached al-Bayda' and said: 'Hajj and 'Umrah are the same in this regard. I bear you witness that I have made my Hajj obligatory upon myself along with my 'Umrah.'
