‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏ابْنُ عُمَرَ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنِي ‏ ‏زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏رَخَّصَ فِي بَيْعِ ‏ ‏الْعَرَايَا ‏ ‏بِخَرْصِهَا ‏

English Translation

Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that zayd ibn Thabit narrated to me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ granted a concession for the sale of 'araya (gifts of date palms to the poor) by estimation (of dried dates equivalent).
