English Translation

'Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Musa ibn 'Uqbah, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, that the Prophet ﷺ cut down and burned the palm trees of Banu al-Nadir. Regarding this, Hassan (ibn Thabit) said in poetry, and Ka'b ibn Malik said: 'It was easy for the leaders of Banu Luayy (Quraysh) — the burning of al-Buwayrah (the grove of Banu al-Nadir).' And regarding it, the verse was revealed: {Whatever you have cut down of palm trees or left standing on their trunks, it was by permission of Allah} [al-Hashr 59:5].
