حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اقْتُلُوا الْحَيَّاتِ وَذَا الطُّفْيَتَيْنِ وَالْأَبْتَرَ فَإِنَّهُمَا يَلْتَمِسَانِ الْبَصَرَ وَي
َسْتَسْقِطَانِ الْحَبَلَ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَقْتُلُ كُلَّ حَيَّةٍ وَجَدَهَا فَرَآهُ أَبُو لُبَابَةَ أَوْ زَيْدُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ وَهُوَ يُطَارِدُ حَيَّةً فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ قَدْ نُهِيَ عَنْ ذَوَاتِ الْبُيُوتِ

English Translation
Sufyan narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Salim, from his father who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Kill snakes, and kill the one with two white lines (dhu al-tufyatayn) and the short-tailed one (al-abtar), for they cause blindness and miscarriage.'
