English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Yahya, from Mujalid, from 'Amir, from Masruq — he said [once or twice]: from the Prophet ﷺ — 'Every judge who judges between people will be detained on the Day of Resurrection with an angel holding him by the back of his neck, until he is brought to stand over Jahannam. He will then raise his head toward Allah (عز وجل); if he judged wrongly, he will be thrown into Jahannam to fall for forty autumns.'
