‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏سُفْيَانُ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَيُّوبَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏نَافِعٍ ‏ ‏عَنِ ‏ ‏ابْنِ عُمَرَ ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏بَعَثَ ‏ ‏سَرِيَّةً ‏ ‏إِلَى ‏ ‏نَجْدٍ ‏ ‏فَبَلَغَتْ سِهَامُهُمْ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا ‏ ‏وَنَفَّلَنَا ‏ ‏رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا ‏

English Translation

Sufyan narrated to us, from Ayyub, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent a military detachment (sariyyah) to Najd. Their individual shares (of the war spoils) reached twelve camels each, and they were given an additional camel each as a bonus (nafal).
