English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Yahya, from 'Ubayd Allah, from Nafi' — that he said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade al-muzabana [an invalid exchange]. Al-muzabana is: [trading] fresh dates [on the tree] for dried dates by measure, fresh grapes for dried raisins by measure, and standing grain for threshed wheat by measure.'
