English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Waki', from Sufyan, from Muhammad ibn 'Abd al-Rahman (freed slave of the family of Talha), from Salim ibn 'Abdullah — that he divorced his wife while she was menstruating. 'Umar asked the Prophet ﷺ about it, and he said: 'Command him to take her back, then to divorce her when she is in a state of purity [tahiran] or pregnancy.'
