حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الْكِلَابِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَفَ عَلَى قَلِيبِ بَدْرٍ فَقَالَ هَلْ وَجَدْتُ
مْ مَا وَعَدَكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ حَقًّا ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّهُمْ لَيَسْمَعُونَ مَا أَقُولُ فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِعَائِشَةَ فَقَالَتْ وَهِلَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُمَرَ إِنَّمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّهُمْ الْآنَ لَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ الَّذِي كُنْتُ أَقُولُ لَهُمْ لَهُوَ الْحَقُّ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abda ibn Sulayman Abu Muhammad al-Kilabi, from Hisham, from his father ['Urwa ibn al-Zubayr] — that the Prophet ﷺ stood over the well of Badr and said: 'Have you found what your Lord promised you to be true?' Then he said: 'They are now hearing what I say.' When this was mentioned to 'A'isha, she said: 'He made an error — meaning Ibn 'Umar. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ [actually] said: \"They now know that what I used to say to them was the truth.\"'
