حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي بِاللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى وَيُوتِرُ بِرَكْعَةٍ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, from Anas ibn Sirin, who heard Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) [say] that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray the night prayer in pairs [two rak'ahs at a time] and perform witr with one rak'ah.
