'Abdullah said: I found in my father's book: Muhammad ibn Bakr narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj informed us, Nafi' informed me, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) who said: A man stood up in the Mosque of the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, from where do you command us to assume ihram?' the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The people of Madinah enter ihram from Dhul-Hulayfah, the people of Sham from al-Juhfah, and the people of Najd from Qarn al-Manazil.' And Ibn 'Umar said: 'And they claim — and I did not hear this — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: The people of Yemen enter ihram from Yalamlam.'
