حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ يَعْنِي أَبَا أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيَّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَ
نِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ صَلَاةِ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى تُسَلِّمُ فِي كُلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَإِذَا خِفْتَ الصُّبْحَ فَصَلِّ رَكْعَةً تُوتِرُ لَكَ مَا قَبْلَهَا

English Translation
Muhammad ibn 'Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr, meaning Abu Ahmad al-Zubayri, narrated to us, he said: 'Abd al-'Aziz, meaning Ibn Abi Rawwad, narrated to us, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) who said: A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I have committed every sin except shirk [associating partners with Allah].' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Do you bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?' He said it three times. The man said: 'Yes.' He ﷺ said: 'That will erase all of that.'
