حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ سَمِعْتُ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ نَجْرَانَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ قُلْتُ إِنَّمَا أَسْأَلُكَ عَنْ شَيْئَيْنِ عَنْ السَّلَمِ فِي النَّخْلِ وَعَنْ الزَّبِيبِ وَالتَّمْرِ فَقَالَ أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِرَجُلٍ نَشْوَانَ قَدْ شَرِبَ زَبِيبًا وَتَمْرًا قَالَ فَجَلَدَهُ الْحَدَّ و
َنَهَى أَنْ يُخْلَطَا قَالَ وَأَسْلَمَ رَجُلٌ فِي نَخْلِ رَجُلٍ فَلَمْ يَحْمِلْ نَخْلُهُ قَالَ فَأَتَاهُ يَطْلُبُهُ قَالَ فَأَبَى أَنْ يُعْطِيَهُ قَالَ فَأَتَيَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَحَمَلَتْ نَخْلُكَ قَالَ لَا قَالَ فَبِمَ تَأْكُلُ مَالَهُ قَالَ فَأَمَرَهُ فَرَدَّ عَلَيْهِ وَنَهَى عَنْ السَّلَمِ فِي النَّخْلِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهُ

English Translation
Muhammad ibn Ja'far narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, I heard Abu Ishaq, I heard a man from the people of Najran who said: I asked Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) and said: 'I only ask you about two things: about salam [forward sale] in dates, and about zakah on honey.' Ibn 'Umar said: 'A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: I gave salam to a man for dates — pay now, receive later. He asked: Did you give salam for specific dates from a specific garden? He said: No. He said: Then you should not do so. As for honey, there is no zakah on it.'
