حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ وَابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ قَالَا أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ شِهَ

ابٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّاسَ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُضْرَبُونَ إِذَا تَبَايَعُوا طَعَامًا جُزَافًا أَنْ يَبِيعُوهُ حَتَّى يُؤْوُوهُ إِلَى رِحَالِهِمْ

English Translation

Rawh narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj and Ibn Abi Dhi'b narrated to us, they said: Ibn Shihab informed us, from Salim ibn 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar, from his father [Ibn 'Umar] (رضي الله عنهما) who said: I saw the people during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ being struck on their hands [as punishment] for buying grain at the top of the market, until they brought it to their own places [before reselling it].
