English Translation
Yahya narrated to us, from 'Ubayd Allah, Nafi' informed me, from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) that a man called out to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: 'What garments should we wear when we enter ihram?' He said: 'Do not wear shirts, turbans, trousers, hooded cloaks, or leather socks, unless a person cannot find sandals — then he may wear leather socks but should cut them below the ankles. And do not wear any garment touched by saffron or wars [a yellow dye].'
