‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏وَكِيعٌ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏أَبَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَجَلِيُّ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ ‏ ‏عَنِ ‏ ‏ابْنِ عُمَرَ ‏ ‏أَنَّهُ ‏ ‏خَرَجَ يَوْمَ عِيدٍ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ قَبْلَهَا وَلَا بَعْدَهَا فَذَكَرَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏فَعَلَهُ ‏

English Translation

Waki' narrated to us, Aban ibn 'Abdullah al-Bajali narrated to us, from Abu Bakr ibn Hafs, from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) that he went out on the day of Eid and did not pray before or after it [the Eid prayer]. He mentioned that the Prophet ﷺ used to do so.
