English Translation

Waki' narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Najrani, from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) who said: A drunken man was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he had him flogged with the prescribed punishment. Then he said: 'Curse him not, for by Allah, he loves Allah and His Messenger.'
