حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ ر

َسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُّمَا امْرِئٍ قَالَ لِأَخِيهِ يَا كَافِرُ فَقَدْ بَاءَ بِهَا أَحَدُهُمَا

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Waki', from Sufyan, from 'Abdullah ibn Dinar — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whichever man calls his brother "O kafir [disbeliever]" — one of the two bears it [i.e., the label applies to one of them].'
