English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Rawh, from Muhammad ibn Abi Hafsa, from Ibn Shihab, from Salim, from his father — that he divorced his wife while she was menstruating. He mentioned it to 'Umar, who went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and informed him. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Let him keep her until she menstruates a menstrual period other than this one, then becomes pure. If he then wishes to divorce her, let him divorce her as Allah (عز وجل) commanded; and if he wishes to keep her, let him keep her.'
