English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Waki', from Sufyan, from Abu Janab, from his father — that he said: 'the Prophet ﷺ used to stand at this column — which at that time was a palm-tree trunk — meaning: [that is where] he would deliver the sermon [khutba].'
