Chain of Narration (Isnad)
حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ وَنَافِعٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَن
Body (Matn)
َّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ رَكْعَتَانِ فَإِذَا خِفْتُمْ الصُّبْحَ فَأَوْتِرُوا بِوَاحِدَةٍ
English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Hasan ibn Musa, from Shayban, from Yahya, from Abu Salama and Nafi' the mawla of Ibn 'Umar — that Ibn 'Umar narrated to him that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The night prayer is two rak'as at a time — when you fear [the break of] Subh, make Witr with one rak'a.'
