English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Yazid ibn Harun, from Yahya ibn Sa'id, from 'Umar ibn Nafi', from his father [Nafi'] — that a man asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: 'What may we wear when in ihram?' He said: 'Do not wear shirts, trousers, turbans, burnuses [hooded cloaks], or leather socks — except a man who cannot find sandals; he may wear leather socks and make them below the ankles. And do not wear any garment that has been touched by saffron or wars [yellow dye].'
