English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Muhammad ibn Ja'far, from Shu'ba, from Qatada, from Yunus ibn Jubayr — that he said: 'I heard Ibn 'Umar say: "I divorced my wife while she was menstruating." 'Umar went to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned this to him. He said: "Let him take her back — then when she becomes pure, if he wishes, let him divorce her."' He [Yunus] said: 'I said to Ibn 'Umar: "Is that divorce counted?"' He said: '"What would prevent it? Yes. And what do you say if he was incapable and acted foolishly?"'
